PP Reborn teams up with SWU and Greenwave 106.5 to pass on sustainability to Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA)

On June 5th, in celebration of World Environment Day, PP Reborn, Thailand’s first platform for managing PP plastic waste, initiated by HMC Polymers Company Limited, in collaboration with Srinakharinwirot University (SWU) and Green Wave 106.5 FM, donated proceeds from the sale of collected PP plastic waste—gathered from SWU’s Prasarnmit and Ongkharak campuses, as well as other channels through the PP Reborn platform.

With Green Wave 106.5 FM serving as the promotional media partner to encourage public participation, the funds were donated to the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration to help produce reflective safety uniforms for city sanitation workers, ensuring their safety while working along roadways.

Over the past three years since the launch of the PP Reborn platform, several tens of tons of used PP plastic waste have been reintroduced into the production cycle in line with circular economy principles. This has helped reduce carbon emissions from landfill disposal and resource extraction, while also fostering connectivity and improving quality of life within the community—fully aligning with HMC Polymers’ corporate sustainability strategy.
