HMC Polymers wins the highest-Level “Diamond Star Award” for environmental and safety governance, reinforcing commitment to sustainable operations
On August 17, 2026, the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT), represented by Mr. Kanapot Khunthong, Deputy Governor (Operation 3), presided over the ceremony for the presentation of the Environmental and Safety Governance Flags under the Environmental and Safety Governance Project for 2025.
This year, HMC Polymers received the Diamond Star level for both its PP and PDH plants, in recognition of their continuous certification for more than 10 consecutive years.
Mr. Kanapot said that the ceremony was initiated by IEAT in 2007 as a mechanism to establish standards and drive policies that operators under IEAT’s supervision are expected to follow. This year marks the first time that IEAT has elevated the recognition by introducing the “Diamond Star” level, encouraging operators to continuously and sustainably maintain high standards of operations.
