HMC Polymers receives carbon label certification for carbon footprint of product
On November 4, 2025, Mr. Corso Uzielli, President of HMC Polymers Company Limited, assigned a representative to attend the Carbon Label Certification Ceremony for the Carbon Footprint of Product (CFP). The certificate was presented by Ms. Pattranant Thongprapan, Deputy Secretary-General to the Prime Minister for Political Affairs. The event was organized by the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization) at the Thailand Institute of Justice in Bangkok.
This year, HMC Polymers received Carbon Footprint of Product (CFP) certification for a total of 35 products, comprising 8 new certifications and 27 re-certifications.
Since 2022, HMC Polymers’ polypropylene (PP) resin products have achieved CFP certification for a total of 67 products — 66 grades from the PP Plant and 1 grade from the PDH Plant. Each CFP certification is valid for three years, in line with the standard validity period for carbon label certifications. Upon expiration, manufacturers must reapply for certification, prioritizing products or grades with high production volumes or strong customer demand.
The CFP label displayed on products provides consumers with transparent information on the total greenhouse gas emissions released throughout the product’s entire life cycle — from raw material sourcing, manufacturing, distribution, and usage, to end-of-life waste management. This enables consumers to make more environmentally conscious purchasing decisions and encourages manufacturers to adopt cleaner, more sustainable production technologies.
This achievement marks another significant step in HMC Polymers’ commitment toward a low-carbon society.
