HMC Polymers partners with Srinakharinwirot University (SWU) Toward a carbon-neutral initiative
On July 12, 2024, HMC Polymers Company Limited participated in a declaration ceremony to commit to driving SWU towards carbon neutrality by 2040. The ceremony was presided over by Associate Professor Dr. Somchai Santivattanakul, chancellor of SWU.
HMC Polymers, a key partner of SWU, one of Thailand's largest and leading universities, introduced the PP Reborn plastic management platform. This platform is essential in managing used PP plastics within the university premises and reintegrating them into production cycles based on circular economy principles. This approach reduces the use of new resources and minimizes carbon emissions from production and incineration processes, aligning with SWU's goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2040.
