HMC Polymers joins Qualy and Friend of Pa to bring PP plastic from the PP Reborn platform to upcycle for adding value to new products for society
After HMC Polymers Company Limited, Thailand and ASEAN’s leader in the manufacture and distributor of PP plastic resin, has launched PP Reborn, which is a plastic waste management platform, especially PP plastic waste and bringing back into the production system again according to the Circular Economy principle. At this time, PP Reborn has used the PP plastic waste under the cooperation of partners, namely Qualy brand for upcycling as well as combining modern design into “Cacvase” that will make the common glass bottle became a beautiful vase and can be used as a home decoration item. “Cacvase” will be distributed at the Friends of Pa shop, Friends in Need (of “PA”) Volunteers Foundation, Thai Red Cross and all of the income will be given to Friends in Need (of “PA”) Volunteers Foundation, Thai Red Cross and Golden Place shops for supporting in the rescue of flood victims. It is also considered as a social contribution project by utilizing resources efficiently.
The above operations of HMC Polymers, Qualy and “Peungpa” brand are considered as a role model of reusing PP plastic waste in a Loop Connecting style together with building an alliance by finding partners who have ideas and desire to be a part of creating sustainability to complete the loop. The entire process answers HMC Polymers' sustainability strategy with circularity as one of its pillars.
