Several of the most pressing topics discussed by honorable speakers during this year’s conference included “Carbon pricing”, an instrument that captures the external costs of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, the costs of emissions that the public pays for such as health care costs from heat waves & etc, and also “Carbon tax”, a tax levied on the carbon emissions required to produce goods and services that is intended to make visible the hidden social costs of carbon emissions.
The Plastic Industry Club, F.T.I. plays a critical role in this issue by hard working with many sectors such as government, academies including HMC Polymers to find the best sustainable solutions for Thai plastic industry.
