HMC Visits Australian JV
In mid August, a group of key managers from HMC visited our joint venture partner LyondellBasell in the state of Victoria in Australia. HMC Polymers is a joint venture associate of LyondellBasell, one of the world's largest plastics, chemicals and fuels companies, PTT, Thailand's largest petrochemical conglomerate and Thai national investors.
The traveling group headed by HMC President Supachoke Liamkaeo was warmly received by the Managing Director of LyondellBasell Australia, Mr. Barry Kelly and staff.

The trip offered an excellent opportunity for managers at both companies to meet their respective colleagues, discuss the business environment in the Asia-Pacific market and possible strategies for how we can best collaborate to ensure our strategic customers in the region continue to receive the leading PP technology and continuity of high-level service.
For group discussions, HMC visited LyondellBasell at their head office in the well known area of South Yarra, not far from the Melbourne Central Business District. In addition, the group visited the LyondellBasell Polypropylene plant situated in the port city of Geelong, about 75 Km away, the supplier Qube Logistics and local customers to gain a first-hand understanding of issues affecting the Australian manufacturing market and customer requirements.
The diverse HMC PP product portfolio, including HECO and RACO grades for thermoforming, sheet extrusion, injection moulding and TWIM applicational requirements were well received.
