Asia Customer Event
HMC recently had the pleasure to host 30 of our key Asia customers from across the region for a special event in Thailand. Coming from countries including China and Hong Kong, India, Malaysia and the Philippines, our International customers and the HMC Sales team had the opportunity to meet and tour several interesting Thai locations together from November 4th – 7th. This period offered a welcome chance to meet contacts face-to-face, mostly for the first time, to further strengthen our relationship, mutual understanding and discuss ways in which we can further improve our collaboration.
Also, HMC’s 2015 Invitational Trip was an opportunity for our key Asia customers to meet the new HMC President Khun Chawalit Tippawanich.
The event included excursions to highlighted Thai locations in Chiangrai Province including:
Doi Tung Royal Villa
The Royal Villa was originally built as a summer residence for the Princess Mother and is now a museum displaying her work to improve the life quality of local tribal people.
Wat Rong Khun
Better known to foreigners as the White Temple, Wat Rong Khun is a contemporary, unconventional, privately owned, art exhibit in the style of a Buddhist temple.
Boon Rawd Farm
One of the largest tea producers in Thailand with a plantation of 237 acres of tea under cultivation.
HMC sponsored all in-land expenses covering accommodation, sight-seeing, and meals. In addition, on November 3rd, HMC invited the attending customers to come to Thailand one day before the main event to visit the HMC plants at Map-Ta-Phut. Khun Sawangpong Kingsuwanvong, Vice President Manufacturing, lead the visit by touring the production process, labs and warehouses. Our customers could see the facilities first hand for an overall appreciation of the HMC manufacturing process and how HMC PP quality and product consistency levels are achieved and maintained.
