Enhanced Security for PP Supply
HMC Polymers' management recently signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with PTT Tank Terminal Company Limited (PTT Tank) at the HMC headquarters in Bangkok. This LOI confirms HMC’s commitment to engage PTT Tank to install a dedicated propylene storage tank of 4,000 tons capacity for HMC to be located in the PTT Tank facility.
The proposed propylene tank will be used as buffer storage to enable the HMC PP and PDH plants to operate more smoothly and eliminate possible issues caused by uneven propylene usage and supply.
PTT Tank facility is located in Map Tha Phut, Rayong, in close proximity to the HMC PP and PDH plants and consists of a storage tank farm and jetty as part of the sea access import and export terminal. HMC will have the ability to import or export propylene as required through the PTT Tank facility.
The HMC propylene storage tank will significantly improve the company's security of propylene supply and enhance reliable PP production to support our local and export customers.
Following the completion of the PTT Tank installation, HMC will enter into a long term propylene tank rental agreement with PTT Tank which will in turn enhance the continuity of PP production and supply. This is good news for HMC and our customers.
