HMC for Advisory Board

HMC Polymers is pleased to announce that Mrs. Nataka Ratanasampan, HMC Product/Asset Manager, will accept an offer by the Department of Chemical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, at King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB), to become a member to its Industry Advisory Board (IAB). Khun Nataka's term on the IAB will be for two years.

HMC is privileged to have a significant knowledge base and high level of chemical engineering expertise within the company and is honored to make a contribution to the Faculty of Engineering, at King Mongkut's University of Technology.

The key objectives of Industry Advisory Board are:

  • Develop graduates to match the needs of employment and also raise graduate skills to higher levels
  • Create opportunities for understanding the real work environment and the expectation of employers for graduates with new ideas
  • Professionalism and motivation
  • Create learning opportunities for students to receive professional experience opportunities within the curriculum
  • Create awareness among graduates for self-development including choices in the profession and available job opportunities
  • Create opportunities for research collaboration
  • Hear first-hand opinions concerning education development to ensure its direction is in line with industry changes and trends

The role of Industry Advisory Board members includes:

  • Provide recommendations for faculty educational direction that are in line with the latest directions and changes in business and the industry
  • Provide advice on the knowledge and skills needed for employment and careers in the industry
  • Provide recommendations for curriculum design by considering the knowledge necessary in the current profession and future changes and directions
  • Provide recommendations for the organization of additional activities to develop the skills necessary for continuous and ongoing professional development
  • Provide perspectives and recommendations for creating engagement and learning experiences from business and industry for students

We regard opportunities such as this to contribute to faculty operations and assist the preparation of future chemical engineers as a vital responsibility and community service.
