HMC Polymers Brings Employees and Families Together for ICC Day 2026 Because sustainability starts at home
HMC Polymers Company Limited, together with employee volunteers and their family members, continued its commitment to coastal conservation by participating in the International Coastal Cleanup Day (ICC Day) for the 24th consecutive year. The beach cleanup activity was held at Suchada Beach, Rayong Province, on September 19, 2026.
International Coastal Cleanup Day is an environmental initiative that HMC Polymers has continuously participated in every year. The company believes that “sustainability starts at home” and therefore brought together employee volunteers and their family members, particularly children and young people, to take part in collecting waste along the beach. The activity also included educational sessions on waste reduction, encouraging participants to think before using, separate before disposing, and dispose of waste in the proper place. These practices help prevent all types of waste from entering waterways, seas, and oceans, addressing the issue at its source and contributing to a healthier environment.
During the event, more than 50 employees and family members worked together to collect and sort waste found along the beach before it was properly managed. In addition to helping maintain the cleanliness of the coastal area, the activity provided participants with hands-on experience that helped build greater understanding and awareness of responsible waste management. The collected waste was subsequently handed over to the Map Ta Phut City Municipality for proper management.
The activity aligns with HMC Polymers’ corporate social responsibility approach under its 3E CSR Strategy, particularly the Earth & Environment pillar, which focuses on promoting participation in the conservation of natural resources and the environment, raising awareness of waste management at the source, and extending these efforts from employees and their families to the wider community and society.
