HMC Polymers receives Forest Research Award from the Royal Forest Department Reinforcing our commitment to carbon reduction across all dimensions
On September 18, 2026, Mr. Corso Uzielli, President of HMC Polymers Company Limited assigned a company representative to receive an Honorable Mention Award in the Forest Research category from the Royal Forest Department, presented by Mr. Nikorn Sirarotchananon, Director General, Royal Forest Department, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, at Meeting Room 1, Tiam Khomkris Building, Royal Forest Department, Phahonyothin Road, Bangkok.
HMC Polymers received this award in recognition of its implementation of “A transformative collaborative project aimed at expanding green areas dedicated to carbon dioxide absorption”. The project was formally established through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in 2024. Key activities under the project include the establishment of a 10-rai model forest as a practical example for other organizations to adopt and implement similar initiatives. The project also aims to absorb and quantify carbon dioxide, with the resulting carbon reduction activities submitted for certification under the LESS Certificate program administered by the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization) (TGO).
In addition, the Royal Forest Department recognized HMC Polymers as one of the private-sector organizations that has continuously supported and collaborated with the Department in advancing its missions.
