PP Reborn by HMC Polymers and Thailand Post Launch First Drop Point in Rayong Promoting Circular Economy for Used PP Plastics

Rayong – March 20, 2026 – HMC Polymers Co., Ltd. (HMC Polymers) Thailand’s first and largest producer and distributor of premium polypropylene (PP) resin and a leading company in Southeast Asia, as well as the initiator of the “PP Reborn” platform for managing used PP plastics, has officially launched its latest drop point in Rayong Province. This initiative is in collaboration with the Green Hub project of Thailand Post Company Limited (Thailand Post) , located at the Rayong Post Office.

Following the success of HMC Polymers in expanding over 120 drop points across Bangkok and its surrounding areas, the PP Reborn platform has collected and returned more than 10,000 kilograms of used PP plastics back into the production system within two years. This achievement has led to the expansion of drop points to other regions, starting with the Eastern region in Rayong Province. As a key economic and industrial zone with a dense population, Rayong is expected to generate a significant volume of used PP plastics. Thailand Post supports this initiative by providing locations for drop points as well as logistics services.

This collaboration aligns with the organization’s sustainability strategy, which is built on three key pillars:

  • Circularity: Promoting maximum resource efficiency through continuous reuse and recycling
  • Carbon Reduction: Moving toward a low-carbon society by reducing CO₂ emissions from raw material sourcing and improper waste disposal
  • Connectivity: Leveraging knowledge, innovation, and technology to enhance the quality of life and strengthen collaboration with national partners

Mr. Vasun Subanake, Senior Vice President, Production and Operational Excellence at HMC Polymers, stated:

“The PP Reborn platform plays a crucial role in raising public awareness about the proper segregation of used PP plastics. When handled correctly, these plastics can be fully recycled into new PP resin at up to 100%. We would like to thank Thailand Post, a key partner of the PP Reborn platform, for being part of driving sustainable lifestyles among the public—starting from simple actions at the individual level.”

In addition, the event featured the “Rom Daeng Market,” a marketplace showcasing postal products and community goods from the “Thailand Post Connecting Happiness” project on the ThailandPostMart platform. Local entrepreneurs in Rayong, including HMC Polymers’ network partners, were also invited to exhibit and sell their signature products. This initiative aims to support the grassroots economy and increase awareness of Thai products among a wider audience.

HMC Polymers is also in the process of promoting community products from Rayong to be listed on the ThailandPostMart platform in the near future, to foster sustainable self-reliance within local communities.
