HMC Polymers partners with Channel 3 and Thailand Post to launch the “PP Reborn: Turn PP Wastes to Children's Playgrounds” Initiative educating Thais on proper PP plastic waste management
On June 19, 2025, HMC Polymers Company Limited (HMC Polymers), in collaboration with BEC Group, Channel 3 Thailand (Channel 3), and Thailand Post Company Limited (Thailand Post), launched the project “PP Reborn: Turn PP Wastes to Children's Playgrounds”. The initiative encourages the public to donate polypropylene (PP) plastic waste for recycling into playground flooring for students in remote areas.
The event was held at Maleenont Tower, Bangkok, and attended by representatives of Mr. Corso Uzielli, President of HMC Polymers, as well as executives from Channel 3, Thailand Post, news anchors, and well-known hosts.
Following the success of the 2024 campaign “A Million Hands to Color Dreams for Border Patrol School Children,” which raised awareness about PP plastic waste management and turned the collected materials into 5,000 watercolor boxes for Border Patrol School students, HMC Polymers—Thailand’s leading manufacturer and distributor of premium-grade PP resin—has once again joined hands with leading media outlet Channel 3 and logistics expert Thailand Post.
The 2025 initiative continues to promote knowledge and reinforce public understanding of proper PP plastic waste handling. It invites donations of clean PP plastic waste (recycling symbol no. 5), including freezer to microwave food packaging, bubble tea and beverage cups, saline solution bottles, and more. These materials will be recycled into PP plastic sheets used as playground surfaces at Border Patrol Schools. The goal is to improve children’s physical development and reduce the risk of injury from accidents.
The public can contribute to PP plastic waste through two main channels:
- Mail-in Donation: Drop off at any post office nationwide free of charge.
Send parcels (up to 5 kg per box) labeled to: “PP Reborn: Turn PP Wastes to Children's Playgrounds” S.P.K. Plastic Company Limited, No. 3/4 Moo 1, Pimpavas Road (Bangna KM.35), Pimpa, Bang Pakong, Chachoengsao 24180 - In-person Donation: Drop off your PP plastic waste at designated PP Drop Points listed on the Facebook page “PP Reborn PP Reborn ชุบชีวิต PP กับ HMC Polymers"
The campaign runs until August 31, 2025.
HMC Polymers is committed to social and environmental development through the “PP Reborn” project. With communication support from Channel 3 and nationwide logistics provided by Thailand Post, the campaign promotes efficient resource use in line with the circular economy. It aims to reduce plastic waste in the environment and cut carbon emissions from landfill disposal.
