HMC Polymers, together with The Mall Group launched a new physical drop point of “PP Reborn” as the Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment witnessed at the World Environment Day Event 2023
On June 6, 2023, at the Ari Samphan Auditorium, Mr. Jatuporn Buruspat, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (PS of MNRE) presided over the opening of the World Environment Day, 2023. He also witnessed the launch of a new physical drop point of PP Reborn’s, PP plastic waste management platform from HMC Polymers, in cooperation
with The Mall Group under the project “The Mall Go Green” to manage the used plastics, especially PP, based on the principles of the circular economy. The Drop Point will be installed on the EmQuartier Department store G Floor. Any further updates will be notified.
In addition, The PS of MNRE also highlighted the problem of plastic waste that is not properly managed. He emphasized the problem will be addressed under Thailand's Roadmap on Plastic Waste Management 2018 - 2030 which received good cooperations from both the public,
and private partners to improve the management of the plastic waste.
As for Mrs. Natsamon Vongkittipat, Chief Marketing Officer, The Mall Group, added that department stores under The Mall Group have been focusing on using plastics wisely, starting with activities where customers have been significantly involved, and over the years has been working closely with various groups to help manage used plastics properly, including HMC Polymers.
