Economic Outlook and Market
On the 24th of February, HMC Polymers welcomed customers to its annual Customer Seminar which was held in the Royal Maneeya Ballroom at the Renaissance Bangkok Ratchaprasong Hotel. Entitled "2015 Economic Outlook and PP Market", the seminar was well attended as always with 130 HMC customers who came to learn more about issues affecting the economic outlook for Thailand and the region, PP feedstocks and also HMC's new product innovation and trends.
The seminar program provided the forum for customers to exchange views on a range of topics. The event was opened by HMC President, Khun Supachoke Liamkaeo, who extended a warm welcome to all attendees. Following the opening, the seminar began with a full program that commenced with an informative presentation from Dr. Supavud Saicheua, Head of Research Group and Head of Economic Research, Phatra Securities, who discussed the "2015 Economics Outlook. The next presenter was Mr. JP Nah, Director, PE/PP (Asia), IHS Chemical, Singapore, discussing the 2015 oil and PP market outlook.
Dr. Andreas Goeldel, HMC's Business Innovation Manager then presented news of "HMC Innovation program and New PP Products". He provided details of innovative products just released or in the pipeline for the HMC product portfolio. A key point raised was the vital role played by HMC customer collaboration toward the development of new grades that address market needs in Thailand and the region.
Finally, the seminar program was concluded with our special guest, the self-made millionaire and enterpreneur, Khun Somchai Laosaichur, the President of Toyota Dee Yiam, Ubon Ratchathani, discussing 2015 Opportunities, Investment and Growth.
