Bagging Operator

The main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Control all bagging machines operating with the designated standards and ensuring internal unreliability is within the logistics department target.   
  • Control bagging contractors working in the bagging area and follow up ensuring jobs are completed on schedule.
  • Problem solving on machines including reports to Bagging Shift Team Leader or Line Manager.
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance to avoid unplanned break-downs.
  • Control product reworks under silos including any special packaging as per supply chain requisitions.  
  • Validation of products pack out, random checks and/or sampling products to be sent to the lab for analysis.
  • Ensure product identification and traceability – barricade incorrect products and make timely reports to Line Command.
  • Internal communication for daily works and submit reports to Line Command.
  • Validation of processes for product pack out, including inspections and random test/checks for incoming packaging material with analysis reports to Line Command.  
  • Initiation/update procedures, works instruction included records according to ISO system.  
  • Follow up procedures, work instructions including quality records, and provide advice and on-the-job training/coaching to subordinates and bagging contractors.
  • Issue notifications for machines needing repairs into the SAP system and register log sheets as a follow up.
  • Perform the finished products pack out data to SAP system with correctly quantity.
  • Submit an incident reports, causes of machines break-down, quality deviated from specification. Etc. and suggest the corrective and preventive to prevent reoccurrence to AM/DM.
  • Optimise the use of packaging materials, and alert Line Command should improvements be required.
  • Evaluate subordinates and contractors.
  • Issue work orders for special works activities to contractors and follow up until jobs are completed.
  • Other tasks as determined by Line Command.

  • Diploma in a mechanical or related field.
  • Minimum 3-years of experience in bagging machines including logistics and silo farm systems.
  • Fair level of English communication skill.
  • Able to use computer: MS Office, MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
  • Have strong leadership and supervisory skills.
