We are proud of our long history of managing our performance to minimise impact on the environment and pleased to announce several recent environmental awards and initiatives that underscore HMC's commitment to this essential aspect of our operations.


Carbon Footprint Organization

HMC Polymers' PP and PDH plants participated in the Carbon Footprint Promotion Program of the 6th Sector, organized by the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization).

Launch and signing of the memorandum was held on January 16, 2017. The results of the project were met and registered on September 6, 2017.

On September 19, 2017, “Hundreds of hearts to help reduce global warming” met at the Centara Grand at Central Plaza, at Ladprao Bangkok organized by the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization).

Khun Chairat Pathithat, Departmental Manager HSEQ received a certificate from the Secretary of Natural Resources and Environment as the corporate representative of HMC Polymers.


Thailand Voluntary Emission Treading System: TVETS

February 2, 2017: HMC Polymers signed a cooperation agreement with the Thailand Voluntary Emission Trading System (TVETS) organized by the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization) and the Management System Certification Institute (Thailand) at the Golden Tulip Sovereign Hotel, Bangkok.

The purpose of the 3-year implementation period of 2016 - 2018 is to :

  • Develop and test the Measurement Recording and Verification system (MRV) for all industries.
  • Develop and improve Thailand VETS operational rules.


Green Industry Level 4: Green Culture

September 11, 2017:  Khun Chairat Pathithat, Manager HSEQ represented HMC Polymers to receive the Green Industry Level 4 "Green Culture" organized by the Ministry of Industry at the Army Club (Vibhavadi Rangsit) in Bangkok.

Green Culture means that all employees in the organization cooperate to ensure environmentally friendly considerations and procedures are embedded into the business culture and all aspects of operations.


Operational excellence at HMC Polymers, which includes a commitment to safety, environmental stewardship and improved reliability, is key to our focus on the environmental impact of our production plants. We continue to push our operations to do more with less and reduce our impact on the environment.
