Mechanical Engineer – Reliability (Static Equipment)

The main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain understanding of current and emerging reliability centered maintenance (RCM) technologies, risk-based inspection (RBI), route cause failure analysis (RCFA), and evaluate their applicability to site inspection master programs (engineering best practices, national and industry standards).
  • Provide engineering support to maintenance and operations.
  • Support site safety and training initiatives (maintain engineering job procedures, participate in incident investigations).
  • Perform engineering functions as determined by expertise and experience (machine design and equipment modification specialist).
  • Analyzing root causes of failures.
  • Supporting maintenance, project team and operation in problem solving reliability issues.
  • Reporting recommendations to improve reliability, including summations and cost estimates.
  • Assisting with design, planning installation of recommended plant changes.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering.
  • 1-3 years of experience as Reliability Engineer. Part of the service years in petrochemical plant would be a valuable recognition.
  • Ability to communicate in English both written and verbal with required TOEIC 550.
  • Strong knowledge of process areas and equipment.
  • Work in a reliability team, operation, project implementation team and maintenance.
  • Prepare and execute design packages that will improve safety and operability of the plant.
  • Ensure that appropriate environmental, health and safety protection is an integral part of the commercial life cycle of process plant.
  • Possess analytical and interpersonal skills, leadership.
