Propane DeHydrogenation (PDH) Plant Progress

The new Propane Dehydrogenation (PDH) plant has a production capacity of 300,000 tons of propylene per year and utilizes UOP’s Oleflex Technology.

The construction of the plant began in early 2007 with the site preparation, followed by piping and structural steel work later in the year. From April to September of 2008, the heavy haul and lift program was implemented. The overall progress is over 99% up to now and mechanical completion is anticipated around early September. Initial commissioning activities are in progress. Startup is currently forecasted for the last quarter of 2009.
