Mechanical Engineer - Reliability (Rotating Equipment)

Responsibilities

Provide technical assurance support for Rotating Equipment in designated area of the plant.
Ensure plant safety, integrity and reliability through the application of specific Rotating Equipment Engineering Standards based on applicable international and HMC standards, and statutory requirements.
Ensure reliability and integrity of Rotating Equipment through the application of condition monitoring, preventive maintenance and participation in applicable management teams.
Assist in the development of Maintenance Strategies, Procedures and Schedules in compliance with the Company's HSEQ policy and guidelines, ensure effective turnaround execution strategies for the installed Rotating Equipment and associated systems. Develop and coach junior staff and local talent within a team structure.
Analyze and review engineering design project work for modifications to existing facilities or installation of new Rotating Equipment.
Ensure that engineering documentation/data are kept up-to-date.
Control expenditure in designated area of responsibility and ensure cost effective maintenance.

Qualifications

Minimum Bachelor degree in Engineering in the related field
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in design/maintenance of rotating equipment with at least 5 years in a petroleum/gas processing plant.
In depth knowledge of industry standards including: steam turbines, centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, turbo expanders, pumps, cold service pumps.
Experience with one or more of Frame 5, 7, 9 turbines and their use as live compressor drivers would be an advantage.
Cryogenic pumping experience would be an advantage, preferably in LNG.
Knowledge of industry standards in extruders and pelletizers would be a plus, but not essential.
Ability to communicate in both written and spoken English.
Computer literacy in MS Office, SAP, SAP-PM.
Candidate should be motivated, creative, quality focused.
